Vallargärdet Preschool is located outside Karlstad and is temporarily in another location during renovations that are expected to be completed in the autumn of 2026. We focus on being curious and attentive educators who learn together with the children. Our goal is for everyone to thrive and have fun, educational days. We work with safety, respect, and sustainable development in small groups.

The position is a temporary contract from January 1 to June 30, 2026.

Responsibilities

As a preschool teacher, you have a pedagogical responsibility to lead the teaching in accordance with the preschool curriculum (Lpfö 18, revised 2025). You plan, implement, and follow up on education with a focus on children's safety, development, and learning.

You create learning environments that are safe, stimulating, and accessible for all children. An important part of the assignment is to document and analyze the teaching as part of the systematic quality work. You promote democratic values and children's rights and work for equality and inclusion. Together with colleagues and guardians, you create a holistic approach to children's learning and actively contribute to developing the operations.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a licensed preschool teacher or is awaiting their license.

In your professional role, it is important that you can build good relationships and trust with children, guardians, and colleagues. You actively collaborate and contribute to an open and positive work environment. When everyday life changes, you find solutions and adapt teaching based on the children's needs and situations that arise. You take the initiative to develop teaching and operations, see opportunities, and turn ideas into practice.
