The Care and Welfare Administration, with its approximately 1500 employees, is one of the administrations in Mölndal municipality and includes elderly care, functional support, and health care.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for you who want to work as a summer substitute within the Care and Welfare Administration. You will have the opportunity for exciting work with variation at one of our units. As a substitute this summer, you will get the chance to work on a fixed schedule during the holiday period.

Within the administration, we actively work for everyone's work environment and create conditions for you to feel joy and satisfaction in your work every day. If you become one of us, we also offer you a calm and secure introduction.

In the short-term unit, residents are those who, for some reason, cannot return home directly after a hospital stay or who are in need of palliative care. The resident stays in the short-term unit for a limited period, ranging from a few days to a few weeks, depending on the resident's needs.

You will work on scheduled working hours during daytime, evening, or night, weekdays as well as weekends, with varying degrees of employment around 60-100%.

The work involves you, together with other staff, providing support, service, care, and welfare. The interventions are individually planned, which means that the resident's individual needs and conditions are at the center. It may also involve assisting in daily life and various social activities. The work requires a good attitude, ability to collaborate, sense of responsibility, and good communication skills.

QUALIFICATIONS

To work as a summer substitute in the short-term unit, you need:

• A valid criminal record check
• To understand, speak, read, and write Swedish
• Basic digital skills
• To be at least 18 years old

It is advantageous if you have studied the Care and Welfare Program or another education that is deemed equivalent. Experience in care and welfare work is also advantageous.

Personally, you show respect and consideration for those you meet in your professional role and adapt your communication according to the recipient, target group, and situation. You listen to other people in order to understand their needs and have the ability to work together with others to perform tasks and achieve goals. Finally, you take responsibility for your own and shared tasks with the users' best interests in focus.
