We are looking for a staff member for the Patient Board

We are now seeking a colleague to the Patient Board where you will become an important piece in contributing to the development of healthcare in Region Halland.

Your future tasks

In your role as an administrator, you will have varied tasks and will work with:

• helping patients and relatives to express their views and complaints about healthcare providers and getting them answered
• helping patients and relatives to obtain the information they need to safeguard their interests in healthcare and to turn to the right authority
• promoting contacts between patients, relatives, and healthcare staff
• reporting observations and deviations to healthcare providers
• both independently and together with other administrators conducting analyses and reports
• actively participating in the political work of the Patient Board
• representing the Patient Board in various contexts
• recruiting, training, and appointing support persons for patients who are involuntarily treated in psychiatry

The Patient Board Halland is a joint political board between Region Halland and the municipalities of Halland.

The board works with overarching and general issues related to views and complaints about healthcare and based on them, the board draws conclusions and can take action at an aggregated level. The Patient Board does not investigate complaints itself but acts as a support and a link to the operations. There is a secretariat with administrators who support the board with materials in its work up to direct contact with patients, relatives, and operations.

Organizationally, the secretariat is part of the regional office's secretariat department and is staffed with four administrators. One of the administrators has a coordinating responsibility and one administrator works partially as a board officer.

Your future workplace

Your workplace is at the regional office in Halmstad but with the possibility of some remote work. The Patient Board's assignment extends across the entire county, which may involve travel for healthcare meetings, site visits, information assignments, and meetings with the Patient Board.

Your profile

We are looking for someone with a university degree in healthcare or another relevant educational background, as well as several years of work experience in healthcare.

You have a genuine interest in working and communicating with people. You have analytical skills and can make assessments and summaries based on available information. It is advantageous if you have knowledge, interest, and experience in analytical work.

We would like you to be interested and have experience working with a political board.

The operations are in constant change and development, so it is important that you have the will and ability to suggest improvements. You also have an easy time communicating both verbally and in writing, and you are not averse to designing and delivering presentations or training about the Patient Board's activities.

To thrive with us, you are an engaged and driven person with a good ability to independently plan and structure your work time within given frameworks. You take responsibility for delivering results on time and with good quality. It is important that you are trustworthy, factual, and patient. You find it easy to give and receive feedback to contribute to development together with colleagues to strengthen the operations and improve the quality of work.

A valid driver's license (category B) is required.
