We are looking for an engineer with interest and experience in both software development and electronics to further develop our products in 3D printing. The role involves working with embedded systems in our extruders, control systems, and surrounding electronics — from prototype to finished product.
You will be part of an innovative team that develops both hardware and software in close collaboration with mechanical designers, testers, and product owners.
Responsibilities
- Design and development of embedded software for our control systems and sensors.
- Work with microcontroller platforms (e.g., STM32, ESP32, Atmel AVR, Microchip).
- Develop, test, and troubleshoot electronic boards in collaboration with hardware designers.
- Implement communication interfaces such as UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, USB.
- Write clean, documented, and efficient code in C/C++.
- Participate in product development projects from concept to mass production.
- Work with customized solutions in international collaboration projects.
- Contribute to test automation and production support.
Qualifications
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, mechatronics or equivalent.
- At least 3 years of experience in embedded systems development, or the ability to quickly grasp the fundamentals.
- Good knowledge of C/C++, Python and version control (Git).
- Good understanding of electronic schematics and measurement equipment (oscilloscope, logic analyzer, etc.).
- Ability to work systematically and document according to standards.
- Self-driven and accustomed to working independently.
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
Meritorious
- Experience with 3D printing, firmware for 3D printers (e.g., Marlin, Klipper, RepRap).
- Knowledge of PID control, motor control (stepper/BLDC) and temperature control.
- Experience with real-time operating systems.
- Basic understanding of Python or C# for test and tool development.
- Experience with IoT, wireless communication (Wi-Fi, BLE) or connected devices.
- Interest in open-source and the maker community.
