Your tasks

We are now looking for a special educator for our two schools in Education Unit 1, Tibbleskolan and Romfartuna School. You will work in a promoting, preventive, and remedial capacity at the school, group, and individual levels. With your special educational competence, you actively contribute to the school's development work by analyzing and creating accessible learning environments, so that all students have the opportunity to achieve set goals based on their conditions.

You will guide and collaborate closely with teachers and other educational staff and serve as support in the pedagogical work. You will document decisions and interventions in the journal system Prorenata and be an integral part of the schools' student health teams and other forums where your competence adds an important perspective.

Collaboration with students and their guardians is a natural and central part of the assignment. The position also includes a special teacher role at Romfartuna School, with close cooperation with special teachers at Tibbleskolan.

Your competence

We are looking for someone who is a licensed teacher and has a special education degree. You have good digital competence and are used to using computers, tablets, and other technical aids as a natural part of your daily work. You have a strong commitment and a clear motivation to support students in need of special support. Experience working as a special educator or special teacher, as well as experience working with younger children, is an advantage.

As a person, you are creative, social, and attentive. You always strive to create a positive learning environment for all students and children. It is important for you to have a good relationship and communication with guardians. You are driven by the opportunity to influence students' development in school and in close collaboration with colleagues and school management.

The position requires a B driver's license and access to your own car.

We offer

Tibbleskolan is a primary school with activities from preschool class to grade 3 and after-school care for each grade. The school has about 220 students. Tibbleskolan is centrally located in Skultuna and it takes only 20 minutes from Västerås to reach us. Romfartuna School is a small parallel primary school with activities from grade F to grade 3 with after-school care. The school has about 60 students and is located in the countryside near Västerås.

Other information

Before you can be employed, you need to present an approved extract from the police criminal record.

In connection with the interview, you need to prove your citizenship. You can do this with a passport or a personal certificate along with an ID document. If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must show that you have a valid work permit or are exempt from the requirement to have a work permit.
