Your Responsibilities

As a teacher, you organize, structure, and drive the teaching together with your colleagues. You are involved in documenting the pedagogical work. In your role, you participate in documenting the joint quality work at the school. Working as a teacher is about constantly developing based on the students you meet. Capturing students' interests and creating fun and challenging teaching based on their abilities.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for a certified teacher with the qualification to teach grades F-6. If you are also a trained special educator with a focus on intellectual disabilities, we see it as a significant advantage. You have good digital skills and extensive experience working with children/students with autism and intellectual disabilities. You are calm, secure, and have an interest in a low-arousal approach. It is crucial that you can adapt teaching based on the students' various individual needs. You value good communication and relationships with colleagues, students, and guardians. We would like you to take your own initiatives and want to contribute to the school's development.

We Offer

At Sofiaskolan, you will work in an organization characterized by individualized special pedagogy for students with autism and intellectual disabilities. You will be part of an engaged team that teaches approximately 60 students aged 6-16 years, in small classes with 5-6 students per group. Our teaching is based on clear, structured, and visually supportive pedagogy, where each student's conditions, needs, and interests are at the center.

Before you can be employed, you need to present an approved extract from the police's criminal record.

In connection with the interview, you need to prove your citizenship. You can do this with a passport or a personal certificate along with an ID document. If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must present that you have a valid work permit or are exempt from the requirement to have a work permit.
