Our client is now seeking engaged production engineers/preparatory technicians for groundbreaking projects in Karlskrona. ABOUT THE POSITION

The role of production engineer/preparatory technician means that you will be a central link between design and production, focusing on optimizing manufacturing processes for vessels. You will work on both new construction and modernization projects, collaborating closely with engineers, purchasing, and production staff. This gives you a unique opportunity to influence the entire lifecycle of the products.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Job Duties

As a production engineer/preparatory technician, you will work to ensure efficient manufacturing processes for various vessel projects. This includes everything from calculations and method development to the preparation of production documentation and planning.

  • Perform production calculations.
  • Develop construction methodology and assembly order, including geometric assurance.
  • Conduct make/buy assessments.
  • Preparation of production aids and fixtures.
  • Conduct design analyses.
  • Prepare work orders for the product's manufacturing documentation.
  • Plan for efficient production implementation in the production facility.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

  • Have basic experience in production engineering or a similar role.
  • Hold a degree in mechanical engineering, marine design, or equivalent relevant experience from the workforce.
  • Have good communication and presentation skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
  • Have good initiative and the ability to take ownership of your contributions.
  • Have a humble and persistent attitude towards continuous improvement and development of the business.
  • Have a strong technical interest and a curious approach.

It is an advantage if you have

  • Experience from the marine industry, process, or manufacturing industry within steel, machining, or surface treatment.
  • Experience with large-scale, complex development projects and operations.
  • Experience in technical project management or coordination within process or product development.
  • Knowledge of design and preparation of production documentation.
