Junior Systems Engineer for Automation
Are you at the beginning of your career in automation and want to work with advanced marine systems? Here is a developing role where you, as a junior systems engineer for automation, will have the opportunity to grow into the role alongside experienced colleagues.
Job Description
As a Systems Engineer for automation, you will work on the development and integration of various control systems in technically complex marine environments, with support and introduction to work methods, systems, and processes. The role includes control systems for vessels and marine platforms, such as ventilation, gas and bunker systems, brake and rudder functions, as well as engine systems and propulsion. You will be involved throughout the entire project lifecycle and work closely with both internal and external stakeholders.
The work as a Systems Engineer includes system design, preparation of technical documentation such as design documents, cable diagrams, and component selection, as well as participation in procurement, programming, commissioning, and verification of marine systems.
Summary of the Role
In summary, the role of Systems Engineer means that you:
- Work with system design and system integration within marine automation systems
- Develop and update HMI and PLC solutions for marine applications
- Participate in commissioning, verification, and technical follow-up in marine projects
About the Candidate
For the role of Systems Engineer for automation, we are looking for someone with a technical education in a relevant field. Experience is an advantage. You have an interest in automation and control systems and enjoy taking initiatives, asking questions, and collaborating with various contacts.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in automation, control engineering, electrical engineering, or mechatronics
- Alternatively, a vocational education in automation combined with relevant internship or work experience in automation or control systems
- Good knowledge of Swedish and English
- The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the Security Protection Act, which requires Swedish citizenship and a clean criminal record
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in automation or systems work
- Knowledge of PLC and HMI, preferably Siemens
- Electrical design in EPLAN and/or AVEVA
