JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
We are looking for an officer for pharmaceuticals and research/life science at the Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions (SKR), the health and medical care section. The role involves having a broad portfolio that includes various types of pharmaceutical issues as well as questions regarding biobanks, research and development, and life science. You will be part of SKR's pharmaceuticals and medical technology team and, together with them and our members, contribute to creating good conditions for our members to ensure the best possible care for patients across the country.
In the role of officer for pharmaceuticals and research/life science, you will work with:
- environmental monitoring and advocacy work in the area, which includes preparing responses to government inquiries and proposals for legislative changes from authorities.
- contact with and advice and support to SKR's members, especially regions, e.g., through various networks.
- as part of the pharmaceuticals team, assist in all types of pharmaceutical issues that affect our members.
- own areas of responsibility within pharmaceuticals, such as antibiotics, vaccines, etc.
- contributing to the team's work with the pharmaceutical issues network.
- within research/life science, managing networks with the regions' R&D managers and participating in the work with NSG Research/Life Science within the knowledge management system.
You will also work with interest monitoring and follow developments in the health and medical care sector as well as the pharmaceutical area both at the national level and within the EU. This means that you will actively participate in the dialogue regarding political decisions and changes that affect the use of pharmaceuticals in healthcare.
QUALIFICATIONS
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- a relevant university degree, such as a licensed pharmacist or another life-science related university degree.
- experience working with overarching pharmaceutical issues in regions, companies, or authorities.
- experience in advocacy work, networking, and personal research experience is an advantage.
As a person, you should be proactive and identify opportunities, challenge and propose solutions. You take responsibility for your tasks and structure your approach independently and drive your processes forward. You have good collaboration skills and pursue issues with persistence.
If you have solid experience working in the pharmaceutical field and a relevant university degree and share our passion for improving healthcare by strengthening the regions' joint work on pharmaceutical and research issues, do not hesitate to apply for this position and become part of our team.
Welcome with your application!
