About the workplace

The position is located at the election office within the city management administration. The election office works on behalf of the election board with planning, implementation, and follow-up of general elections, re-elections, special elections, and referendums. The election office aims to enable all eligible voters in Helsingborg who wish to vote to do so safely and smoothly in free, secret, and direct elections.

Job responsibilities

We are now looking for an election officer with a focus on logistics and warehousing for the elections to the parliament, municipality, and region in 2026. In the role of election officer with a focus on logistics and materials, you have a special responsibility for our election warehouse and the distribution of election materials to early voting and polling places. You will inventory the existing stock and be responsible for ordering election materials from the Election Authority and other suppliers. You will lead the work of packing and sending election materials and manage ongoing contact with contracted transport services. You will also work on reviewing and ordering informational materials for polling places, such as beach flags, posters, signs, and brochures. Based on the needs of the organization, other tasks and responsibilities may also arise. Some work in the evenings and weekends may occur during the weeks surrounding the election.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with education and/or experience in logistics, or equivalent knowledge. The position requires you to be structured, meticulous, and good at planning. You should be comfortable working independently and prioritizing your tasks while being part of a larger team in the election process. We expect you to have knowledge of data management programs and basic production of communication materials. You should be proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written. A B driver's license is required.

Since the work is sometimes done under time pressure and requires quick re-prioritization, you should be a person with high work capacity, stress-resistant, and open to stepping in where needed.

Experience in municipal operations is an advantage, especially if you have previously worked in election administration, as a ballot receiver, and are familiar with the tasks of ballot receivers and the materials used in polling places.
