About us

You will be part of Decentral Operations within HeatFlex & Strategic Business Development, a national team working with decentralized solutions for heating, cooling, and electricity production outside our district heating areas. We are responsible for complete customer solutions and ensure that functionality and delivery work in practice. The team consists of twelve employees with broad technical and business expertise.

We are now looking for a technically strong Business Developer who wants to help shape the next generation of decentralized energy infrastructure for commercial and industrial customers. Since the team works nationally, customer contact in various locations is a natural part of the job.

About the role

In this role, you will identify, evaluate, and develop new business opportunities within smart, flexible, and sustainable energy systems. You will work at the intersection of technology, commercial strategy, and customer collaboration, translating technical concepts into feasible business models and credible project proposals. Your work directly contributes to solutions such as local energy production, heating and cooling systems, energy efficiency, storage, electrification, and utilization of waste heat and renewable energy sources to improve customer efficiency and sustainability.

You will drive the entire development journey for projects – from idea, analysis, and solution design to commercial structuring, negotiations, and handover to our delivery teams. This involves close dialogue with customers to understand their energy needs and investment conditions, as well as developing technical and economic models that form the basis for decisions. The role also involves close collaboration internally with technology, legal, procurement, and asset management to ensure that our offerings are both technically feasible and commercially competitive.

About you

We are looking for someone with a technical background and experience in business development within energy, industry, or related fields, preferably with a higher education degree. You have an understanding of energy systems at a high level and can combine technical, economic, and customer perspectives into feasible solutions. Experience with heating and cooling systems, heat pumps, or energy production is advantageous, as well as familiarity with working on business cases, project development, investment calculations, and risk assessments.

You are curious, solution-oriented, and comfortable in dialogues where technology and business meet – not because you always have all the answers, but because you listen, reason, and together with the team and the customer find the right path.
