Fortifikationsverket is looking for Project Controllers
Fortifikationsverket is now seeking Project Controllers for the Department of Development and Operational Support.
The Department of Development and Operational Support consists of seven units and a staff. The department has approximately 250 employees. The units are responsible for various types of specialist functions aimed at supporting Fortifikationsverket's employees and contributing to the agency's goals.
We are one of Sweden's largest property owners and experts in fortification, which means protection and construction technology. Our main mission is to contribute to increased defense capability for a safe and free Sweden. Welcome to read more and apply for the position.
Your daily life as a Project Controller
The Project Controller contributes to the department's overall work for planning, implementation, and follow-up.
Examples of tasks include:
- Participating in the development of the agency's processes and the unit's tasks
- Monitoring and analyzing projects
- Participating in the preparation of budget and forecasting work
- Providing support to managers and project leaders in financial matters
- Contributing to general development within follow-up work and internal routines
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with a relevant academic degree or equivalent competence acquired in another way that Fortifikationsverket assesses as equivalent. You should also have several years of work experience as a controller or in a similar role, as well as good knowledge of financial systems and Excel.
The position requires very good knowledge of how to manage and follow up on operations, as well as strong analytical skills. You need to have excellent ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish. Furthermore, you have good computer skills and very good knowledge of especially MS Excel, as well as good administrative skills. A valid driver's license (Class B) is required.
It is advantageous if you have experience working as a controller in public operations or defense-related issues. Experience in project follow-up is also a merit.

About the employment
The position is a permanent employment and may start with a probationary period. As a permanent employee, you will be placed in a military position. The place of employment is Eskilstuna. Employment with us requires Swedish citizenship and involves placement in a security class. A security check with a background check will be conducted before employment in accordance with Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act.
