About the position

As the Head of Measurement and GIS, you will be responsible for leading and developing the municipality's work in geodata, measurement, and GIS. You will ensure that our mapping and measurement assignments maintain high quality, drive the development of digital working methods, and contribute to creating an efficient and modern community building process.

Your role includes, among other things:

• Leading and developing the unit with a focus on competence, quality, and collaboration
• Being responsible for long-term development and follow-up in the geodata area
• Ensuring that the municipality's measurement and GIS services support the needs of the operations
• Driving digitization and development of GIS systems and databases
• Representing the municipality in regional and national networks in the geodata area

You will be part of the technical department's management team and report to the technical manager.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Relevant university education, e.g., in geomatics, measurement technology, GIS, or equivalent experience
• Documented experience of work within geodata, measurement, and/or GIS
• Experience in leadership, preferably in a municipal or technical environment
• Good understanding of digitization and how geodata can contribute to business development

About the position

The position is a permanent employment. A probationary period may apply. Start date according to agreement.

About the recruitment process:

Selection and initial interviews will take place continuously during the advertising period. Candidates who are assessed to meet the requirements (i.e., education, knowledge, and experience requested) will be contacted for the next step in the process.

Final candidates will undergo a psychological test before being called for a final interview. Collaboration is a central part of our management appointments, which means that final candidates will also meet with union representatives as an integrated part of the recruitment process. A background check of the final candidate will be conducted in connection with reference checks.
