About us

With us, you have the chance to be part of the development of elderly care, especially if you long for great freedom outside the hospital! The transition to close care involves a changed approach. We work in home environments, which gives us a high level of familiarity with our patients. We strive for continuity and good relationships. Based on the needs of the patient, we are ready to implement the technology available that can improve and simplify our work methods. The number of registered patients at the healthcare center is nearly 14,000, a large portion of whom are elderly, which in turn means a growing home healthcare (HSV), currently about 160 connected patients. We are responsible at the physician level for three special accommodations (SÄBO), including short-term places, totaling about 116 places, as well as for specialized palliative home healthcare (SSIH in Trosa and Gnesta), which has about 20 connected individuals. Currently, we are primarily two experienced geriatricians responsible for HSV, SÄBO, and SSIH, and now we want to expand our team!

Trosa is located on the Sörmland coast, 40 kilometers north of Nyköping and 70 kilometers south of Stockholm. The city is very popular for relocation. Public transport is easily accessible with the Trosa bus, which runs regularly between Stockholm and Trosa in just 55 minutes, or by train between Stockholm and Vagnhärad. The Trosa River runs through the city, and the harbor is just a stone's throw away. Boating and archipelago life have much to offer for those interested, including good fishing. There are two golf courses, training facilities, and excellent hiking opportunities. Trosa is a very tourist-heavy location, especially in the summer. Many fine restaurants and outdoor cafes are established in this idyllic small town.

Your tasks

Primarily, in collaboration with the municipality's nurses, you will be responsible for patients in HSV and SÄBO. Together with the region's nurses, you will be responsible for specialized home healthcare (SSIH). Your daily work includes patient visits, ranging from planned visits with follow-ups on chronic diseases to assessing and managing acute conditions. With us, you will be an important team player working closely with other professionals. You need to be available by phone to support the nurses in HSV and SÄBO. You will also be part of the healthcare center's dementia team in connection with dementia investigations and collaborate with our heart failure nurses. In this role, you will mentor ST doctors in geriatrics during their placement with us.

Your qualifications

We are primarily looking for a licensed specialist physician in geriatrics, internal medicine, and/or general medicine with a strong interest in elderly care/palliative care. Good language skills in Swedish and good IT skills are required. You must have a valid driver's license (B).
