Investigator for the Funding Unit
The Swedish Environmental Protection Agency (Naturvårdsverket) drives and coordinates efforts for a good living environment together with others. The Funding Unit is seeking an investigator for the agency's work to prevent and counteract incorrect payments. The position is located in the Funding Unit, which is part of the Administrative Department. The unit consists of 6 employees located in both Stockholm and Östersund.
Your Responsibilities
In your work, together with the team you are part of, you will contribute to the knowledge development regarding incorrect payments in our grant operations and serve as expert support in our investigations of suspected irregularities. You will participate in the development of risk analyses related to fraud, corruption, conflicts of interest, and double funding. You will also act as an expert during audits in the area. Furthermore, you will monitor the external environment and participate in knowledge exchanges with relevant stakeholders both internally and externally. You will also contribute to how the process can be developed and to the unit's other development work. Other tasks within the unit may also occur.
Your Qualifications
Requirements for Employment
- Higher education in a social science field (e.g., economics/law)
- Several years of relevant experience in preventing and counteracting incorrect payments
- Several years of relevant experience in protecting the EU's financial interests
- Several years of experience in qualified investigative work
- You have a good ability to express yourself both verbally and in writing
Meritorious
- Experience in public administration and documented knowledge of EU funds and institutions, including audits
- Experience in reporting to EPPO and OLAF

About the Employment
The position is a permanent full-time employment that begins with a six-month probationary period. The position is located in Stockholm or Östersund. Start date as soon as possible by agreement. We apply individual salary setting.
