We are currently looking for a cost estimator for our client in Stockholm. The assignment is expected to start on January 12, 2026, and run until February 6, 2026, with the possibility of extension. 

About the assignment One of the client's stakeholders wants to adapt a currently shell-constructed space into a cinema. The space is approximately 430 square meters and is located in central Stockholm. A floor plan for the space has been developed, but before further project planning, we need a rough cost estimate for the renovation to determine if it is feasible. The estimate should be delivered in writing and then presented verbally to the client.

Job description/role

The assignment consists of developing a cost estimate for the renovation in its entirety based on the following documents: floor plan (A-drawing), fire protection statement, boundary drawing list, existing as-built documents, and site visits.

As no other documents have been prepared, some assumptions will need to be made together with the client, and the estimate will need to be largely based on previous experience figures. The estimate should be delivered in writing and then presented verbally to the client.

Purpose of the assignment and expected results

The goal is to provide the most accurate cost estimate possible for the renovation based on current conditions. The estimate should also be usable for identifying cost savings, which is why a clear breakdown of cost items is necessary. Scope Ongoing. An estimation of the scope and timeline should be prepared and included in the bid. The assignment will have varied workload during the assignment period. The consultant needs to adjust their efforts throughout the project to help the group achieve its goals. The estimated scope should be seen as a qualified estimate. Future needs may exceed or fall short of the quantity indicated here. The client does not guarantee any specific volume, and the bidder commits to delivering against the actual needs that arise. Location The property is located in central Stockholm, where site visits will be conducted. Otherwise, much communication can occur digitally or through meetings.

About you We are looking for someone who meets the following mandatory requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience as a cost estimator in construction projects.

• Experience estimating other cinema projects.

• Fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written.
