The Social Administration Hisingen is part of the social services in the City of Gothenburg.

Job Responsibilities

The Reception Unit is the administration's face to the outside and plays a central role in our work with financial support. The unit currently consists of 22 social workers and four senior social workers. We are now looking for two new senior social workers as two of our colleagues move on to new challenges. We are looking for you who want to influence, drive change, and contribute to the development of our working methods and processes. With us, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference and be an important part of the continued development of the Reception Unit.

As part of our management team, you, together with your colleagues, will drive and lead the daily work with a focus on financial support and reception. You will play an important role in guiding and supporting employees through method supervision, as well as following up on goals, results, and developments in the operations. You will be involved in developing and further refining routines, guidelines, and other governing documents that contribute to a legally secure and efficient handling. A central part of the assignment is to ensure that the social workers' work complies with applicable legislation, that documentation is of high quality, and that everyone who meets us receives a professional and respectful response.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work and documented, extensive experience working in the Reception as a social worker, as well as experience in a supervisory role in Reception within financial support. To succeed in the role, a solid experience of the social services' authority exercise and a very good knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and ordinances are also required.

We are looking for someone who enjoys collaborating – both with internal units and external actors – and who has the ability to represent the organization in a professional and trustworthy manner.

In the role, you need to quickly identify and analyze the core of complex issues and propose well-founded solutions. You have a good overall perspective and can understand the operations from multiple levels and perspectives.

As a person, you work in a structured and clear manner, creating order and direction in your assignment. You also have a very good demeanor and contribute to ensuring that those we serve always receive a professional and respectful welcome.
