If you are reading this, you are probably a nurse with experience in psychiatry or primary care and want to work with follow-up of medical treatment for ADHD and other psychiatric conditions. With us, you will become a key person in the chain between assessment, medical treatment, and the patient’s daily life. You will follow up on the treatment's effectiveness, any side effects, well-being, and functionality. Your conversations contain both warmth and authority, and you ensure that the right information is conveyed to both doctors, psychologists, and patients.
You will work independently but also in a team with psychologists and doctors. The pace is high, the days go by quickly, and you are expected to take initiative, act quickly, and maintain calm in conversations that can sometimes be both complex and sensitive.
Who we are Elly Care and Svea KBT are two of Sweden's largest healthcare companies in psychology and medical treatment. Our psychologists, doctors, and nurses are experienced and dedicated. Behind them is an operations team that makes everything work, from improving processes and developing new services to creating a work environment where our employees thrive and our patients receive the best possible support. We work with therapy, medical treatment, assessments, occupational health, training, and supervision. We have a strong focus on quality and continuous development.
What does a typical Tuesday look like as a nurse at Elly Care? 08:00: You log in, pour your first cup of coffee for the day, and go through today’s patient list. You quickly look at previous notes, assessment scales, and medication adjustments so that you know which questions are most important in each follow-up. 08:30: The first digital follow-up call of the day. A patient with recently initiated ADHD medication where you calmly and clearly go through effectiveness, side effects, sleep, appetite, and daily functioning. You are confident in steering the conversation, ask direct questions, and are not afraid to speak up when something needs to be followed up more quickly. 09:15: You document systematically, send a brief summary to the responsible doctor, and suggest the next steps. You book a new follow-up directly while you are in the system, so the patient feels that there is a clear plan. 10:00: A longer conversation with a worried parent who is tired and has many questions after their child's assessment. You maintain a warm, clear line, answer questions, clarify misunderstandings, and help the family understand how the follow-up works with us. Here, both your service orientation and your authority come to the fore. 11:00: You jump into a brief coordination meeting with a psychologist and a doctor where you go through some more complex cases. You contribute your perspective from the follow-up conversations and are used to taking your own initiative regarding what needs to be followed up, supplemented, or clarified with the patient. 12:00: Lunch with colleagues. You manage to talk about both difficult cases, laugh, and discuss what you did over the weekend and who made the best lunchbox. 13:00: The afternoon is filled with more follow-ups. Some patients need closer follow-ups, while others are stable and can space out their visits. You quickly prioritize, adjust bookings, send messages, and ensure that no patient is lost. 15:00: You call a patient who emailed about increasing side effects. You listen carefully, ask follow-up questions, assess the situation, and consult a doctor if necessary. You provide feedback directly to the patient so that they do not have to remain in uncertainty. 16:00: You manage a final push in administration. You check that all follow-ups are documented, that treatment plans are clear, and that patients with greater needs have scheduled appointments. You also raise an improvement idea regarding how we can make our invitations even clearer. 17:00: You log out for the day feeling that you have provided good care, maintained structure in a fast pace, and contributed to patients with NPF feeling secure in their treatment.
What kind of person do you need to be to love this job? As a person, you are quick and have the ability to prioritize without compromising quality. You enjoy when things are in motion and are eager to tackle things that risk falling through the cracks. When you take responsibility for something, it gets done, thoroughly and on time. With the habit of staying one step ahead, you see the big picture and take initiative even outside your formal role. You say what needs to be said, embrace new challenges, and test new effective working methods without hesitation. For you, development is a driving force. You support colleagues, share tools and knowledge, and feel good about making others' work easier. Teamwork comes naturally to you, and you spread energy through your engagement. You enjoy building and developing together rather than working on things in isolation and see mistakes as a basis for taking the next step. Being unpretentious is a given for you; you tackle everything from practical tasks to creative efforts and welcome feedback as an opportunity to improve.
What you get with us We are a growing company where initiatives are encouraged, ideas are tested, and workdays rarely look the same. Here, you receive continuous feedback, coaching, and the opportunity to try things you haven’t done before, from project management to improvement work. The role is shaped together with you. And the best part? You become part of something that makes a real difference: helping people feel better, together with a team that truly cares.
