The health center in Fagersta is located in the countryside in the northern part of Västmanland and has been operated by Praktikertjänst AB since December 2022.

It is a health center that has undergone significant changes in recent years. Here, knowledge, experience, and competence are gathered under one roof. We have developed a very good collaboration between municipal home care, ambulance services, and the region's other operations.

We have 7 permanent general practitioners, district nurses, nurses, BVC nurses, midwives, social workers, physiotherapists, and all other professions included in the primary care assignment.

Job Responsibilities

The midwifery clinic is staffed with another midwife.

We work in teams and collaborate with two other health centers in the northern part of the county. We also have a well-established partnership with BHV. You will have the opportunity to use your medical expertise to organize and plan care. We have well-functioning work methods that support you in focusing on the patients.

You who are applying are a trained midwife with prescribing rights. You are passionate about good care and a positive attitude and believe that quality is a given. You can work independently and take your own initiatives, but at the same time, you have close cooperation with your colleagues. You are attentive and clear in your patient meetings and find new challenges exciting and appreciate quick decision-making processes. You have good computer skills and have preferably previously worked in Cosmic and Obstetrix. Previous work as a midwife in primary care is an advantage.

Your job responsibilities will consist of standard primary care work at the midwifery clinic, including sexual and contraceptive counseling, pregnancy checks, STI testing, gynecological cell sampling, telephone counseling, and parent education. We offer counseling via phone, chat, and in-person meetings.
