At our neurology and rehabilitation clinic, you will encounter an exciting and varied work environment focused on advanced neurological care and rehabilitation.

We are looking for someone who wants to help develop our operations and create the best possible care for our patients. Your workplace, the neurology and rehabilitation clinic, provides care within neurological healthcare, including patients with diagnoses such as MS, Parkinson's disease, epilepsy, and stroke, as well as rehabilitation medicine with a special focus on brain injury rehabilitation.

The clinic consists of two wards: ward 34, which is a neurology and rehabilitation ward where we care for patients with neurological symptoms and diagnoses and rehabilitate patients with acquired brain injuries. Ward 59 is a stroke unit where patients who have suffered from TIA or stroke are cared for.

The clinic also has a large outpatient clinic and day rehabilitation, and it has medical management responsibility and provides medical resources at Frykcenter in Torsby. About 150 employees work at the clinic.

At the neurology and rehabilitation outpatient clinic, there are several teams of doctors, nurses, and nursing assistants. The nursing assistants are responsible for the reception, assist and take blood samples during lumbar punctures, and have their own clinics for, for example, suture removal, blood pressure, and EKG. The nurses are responsible for various diagnoses: Parkinson's disease, where the nurses initiate and plan advanced treatment with a pump, headaches, MS, motor neuron disease, epilepsy, brain tumors, and Huntington's disease, where within each diagnosis, they are responsible for developing working methods, information to provide to patients, and internally educating colleagues. We are an organization with a high ceiling and short decision-making paths.

Your Responsibilities

As a nurse at the neurology and rehabilitation outpatient clinic, you will have your own outpatient visits within the specific diagnosis you work with, and it also includes outpatient work in the form of telephone advice and drip treatment, among other things. Some weekend work may become relevant in the future.

Initially, you will be introduced to Parkinson's disease and epilepsy, but in the long run, other diagnoses may also become relevant.

Your Skills and Competencies

We are looking for a licensed nurse. If you have previous experience in outpatient work and/or competence in neurology, it is an advantage.

We are keen to find the right person for the position and therefore place great importance on your personal qualities.

As a person, you are responsible, meticulous, attentive, and independent. You dare to act and make decisions, considering the best interests of the entire organization when doing so. You are good at collaborating with others and have a good attitude towards both patients and colleagues.

You should have an interest and ability to proactively develop collaboration within the organization together with managers, doctors, and other staff to create conditions for the clinic to be an attractive workplace.
