Your Workplace
The hospital in Torsby is a pleasant workplace that has several advantages, including proximity, short decision-making paths, efficiency, accessibility, and quality. The hospital has a clinic-less organization with three care departments. Patients with internal medical conditions can be treated in all care departments.
The hospital also has outpatient services in cardiology, rheumatology, neurology, gastroenterology, and endocrinology. A mobile team is also available. We have a well-functioning surgical department and intensive care/recovery as well as an emergency department. Furthermore, there is an on-call line for medicine and a surgical/orthopedic on-call line.
We can offer you:
- A smaller acute hospital with short decision-making paths and a wonderful camaraderie.
- A recognized good teaching hospital.
- A management team that cares about you.
- Nice accommodation close to nature.
- A center that may not have everything you want, but definitely has what you need.
- Assistance in finding accommodation.
- Two hours' drive from Oslo and a one-hour direct flight to Stockholm. Train connections are available.
- A higher quality of life with opportunities for wilderness, hunting, fishing, and skiing with Sweden's first ski tunnel around the corner.
- A health-promoting workplace with access to wellness activities and wellness benefits.
We constantly strive to maintain a good working environment for all staff at the hospital.
Your Responsibilities
It is important for us that you have a valuable role in our team. You should enjoy handling acutely ill patients with a wide range of internal medical conditions.
As a medical officer with us, you will perform the usual duties of a medical officer in the care department as well as in the emergency department. The work involves individual responsibility under supervision. We believe that healthcare must be based on our patients' needs and the competence of our staff.
Your Skills and Competencies
We are looking for someone with an approved medical degree or a decision document from the National Board of Health and Welfare. You must master the Swedish language at level C1. Previous experience as a medical officer is an advantage. It is also beneficial if you are a licensed physician and interested in a temporary position leading to a possible ST or BT position.
We place great importance on your personal qualities such as good collaboration skills, flexibility, and a professional demeanor. We also value personal maturity, being secure in yourself and taking responsibility, as well as quality awareness, where you strive for high standards in your work. Selection is ongoing, so welcome with your application today!
