The Sámi School Board is a government authority with its office, including the school principal, controllers, HR, and administrators, located in Jåhkåmåhkke.

The Sámi school is an educational form equivalent to primary school, providing education from preschool to grade 6. The starting point for education is the Sámi culture and the Sámi language according to the curriculum for Sámi schools. The Sámi School Board also operates preschools in agreement with the respective municipalities. The Sámi School Board has operations in Giron, Gárasavvon, Váhtjer, Jåhkåmåhkke, and Dearna.

The Sámi School Board organizes distance education in the Sámi languages and supports the development and production of teaching materials for Sámi education.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a preschool teacher, you will actively and responsibly participate in planning, implementation, and reflection in collaboration with the work team as well as individually. Documentation and evaluation are included in accordance with the preschool's governing documents and from the Sámi perspective, both individually and within the work team. You will actively participate in developing successful learning environments together with others at the preschool, as well as participating in other work at the preschool and in the children's group.

QUALIFICATIONS

You must be proficient in the Sámi language, both spoken and written, and have knowledge of Sámi culture. Applicants must provide a police record extract before employment.
