Family Therapist Wanted

Do you want to work with change efforts for children, youth, and families? Do you want to be part of the transition with the new social services law? Now you have the opportunity to apply to us as a family therapist on a special fixed-term contract! We are looking for two people to join our family therapist team.

Job Responsibilities

In family therapy, we start from the needs of children and youth. Together with children and parents, we explore the family's strengths and difficulties with the aim of finding ways to influence the family situation. The goal is to collaboratively find solutions, reinforce the positive, and strengthen relationships within the family.

The work may involve conversations with the whole family, parts of the family, and sometimes with the family's wider network. Family therapy includes work on relationships, communication, interaction, structure, and various types of socially disruptive behavior among children and youth.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is confident in themselves and flexible. You also need to be able to take initiative, find solutions, and work independently. You must have good collaboration skills, the ability to create good relationships, and a willingness to cooperate both externally and internally.

Requirements:

Degree in social work or another equivalent higher education that the employer deems relevant.
Driver's license (B)

We offer two positions:

Special fixed-term employment, 6 months
Special fixed-term employment, 12 months

The Workplace

As a family therapist, you will be part of a group of currently twelve experienced colleagues. We are located in two different buildings along Storgatan in Piteå and share these with additional colleagues from nearby units within the social services department Support for Children and Families.
