We now have an offer for you who apply and get hired at SiS Youth Home Johannisberg, Unit Sävast, which includes an additional salary supplement of 2,000 SEK/month for 18 months on top of the individual base salary.
Job Description
SiS Youth Home Johannisberg consists of two units, one in Sävast and one in Kalix. Our target group in Sävast is school-age girls with psychosocial issues, criminality, and substance abuse. All work is permeated by our guiding principles of Respect, Care, and Clarity. As a new employee, you will receive thorough introduction, basic training, and further education in areas such as safety, unauthorized influence, conflict management, CPR, and more.
As a treatment assistant, you will work in a team on the unit alongside competent colleagues who are waiting for you to become part of the team. Daily tasks include building trusting relationships and motivating our youth to adopt new and less risky ways of living. You play an important role in the stability of our youth and provide the foundation for daily life with schooling, activities, cooking, and cleaning. As a treatment assistant, you also contribute to maintaining safety at the institution according to our guidelines and routines.
Working hours are scheduled according to a rolling schedule of days, evenings, and weekends.

Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has the ability to build trusting relationships with our youth. You have a positive view of people and your motivation is to work with young people. You share SiS's values of being a place for change. As a person, you relate to others in a responsive and flexible manner, while also being able to set boundaries and follow decisions made. You are secure, stable, and have the ability to maintain a professional approach even in pressured situations. You work well with others and are happy to share your knowledge with colleagues.
You should also have:
- At least a 2-year post-secondary education at a folk high school or vocational college (KY/YH) or other education equivalent to this. The education should be focused on social work, social pedagogy, behavioral science, or another relevant subject area.
- Good Swedish in speech and writing
- Good physical ability
- Driving license B
*Exceptions to the requirement for at least a two-year post-secondary education can be made in individual cases if there are special reasons according to Chapter 5, Section 4 of the Social Services Ordinance (2025:468). Please attach high school grades and/or certificates for post-secondary education to your application. High school grades/certificates issued in another country must be translated and validated in Sweden through the Swedish Council for Higher Education (UHR).
Meritorious:
• Experience working with people in vulnerable life situations, for example in psychiatry, care and welfare, criminal care, or equivalent
Employment
The positions are permanent full-time employment and start with a 6-month probationary period. Start date by agreement.
