The Swedish National Board of Institutional Care, SiS, is an authority responsible for individually adapted compulsory care for young people with complex psychosocial issues and for adults with substance abuse. Job Description

SiS Youth Home Johannisberg is a high-security institution beautifully located next to the Kalix River in the quiet residential area of Grytnäs. The institution is in a development and expansion phase where work is ongoing to increase staffing and security. Our target group in Kalix is boys aged 16 - 21 placed under the Law on Closed Youth Care and the Law on Care of Young People. All work is permeated by our guiding principles: Respect, Care, and Clarity. As a new employee, you will receive thorough orientation, basic training, and further education in areas such as security, unauthorized influence, conflict management, CPR, and more.
As a treatment secretary, you will coordinate and be responsible for the treatment of the young people in the department, establish treatment plans, manage contacts with authorities, and be responsible for documenting completed treatment interventions while also guiding the treatment staff in their daily work. The treatment secretary plays a vital role in ensuring that the young people receive qualitative, individualized interventions based on their conditions and needs, and works closely with other professionals at the institution, such as treatment assistants/pedagogues, teachers, nurses, and psychologists. The treatment secretary contributes to the development of the institution's routines according to the authority's guidelines regarding treatment and investigation.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with a positive view of people and a drive to work with youth. You have a genuine interest in treatment work and share SiS's values of being a place for change. You are a good and secure role model for our youth, capable of creating engagement and participation among both the youth and other internal/external contacts in your work. As a treatment secretary, you are expected to independently drive and plan your work, while a significant part of the work is done in collaboration with others. Therefore, you should have the ability to collaborate well with others to achieve good treatment results. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
You should also have:
- A university degree of at least 210 credits in social sciences/behavioral sciences, e.g., a degree in social work, a 180-credit degree in behavioral sciences, or another relevant university education that is deemed to meet SiS's guidelines for competence requirements for coordinating/planning treatment work.
- Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both written and spoken.
- Driving license B.
Please attach your diploma to your application showing that you have an academic degree of at least 180 credits. Diplomas issued in other countries must be translated and validated in Sweden through the Swedish Council for Higher Education (UHR).
Meritorious:
- Experience in treatment work with youth.
- Experience in compulsory care.

The position is a permanent full-time position and begins with a six-month probationary period. The place of employment is Kalix, but travel in the service to our institution in Sävast may occur. Start date by agreement.
