Childcare Worker at the Sámi School Board

The Sámi School Board is a government authority with its office, including the school principal, controllers, HR, and administrators located in Jåhkåmåhkke.

The Sámi school is a school form equivalent to primary school, providing education from preschool to grade 6. The foundation for the education is the Sámi culture and the Sámi language according to the curriculum for Sámi schools. The Sámi School Board also operates preschools in agreement with the respective municipality. The Sámi School Board has operations in Giron, Gárasavvon, Váhtjer, Jåhkåmåhkke, and Dearna.

The Sámi School Board organizes distance education in the Sámi languages and supports the development and production of teaching materials for Sámi education.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a childcare worker, you will actively and responsibly participate in planning, implementation, and reflection in collaboration with the work team as well as individually. Documentation and evaluation are included in accordance with the preschool's governing documents and from the Sámi perspective, both individually and in work teams. You will actively participate in developing successful learning environments together with others at the preschool, as well as in group work with children.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a trained childcare worker. You should be proficient in the Sámi language, both spoken and written, and have knowledge of Sámi culture. Applicants must provide a criminal record extract before employment.
