The Sámi School Board is a government authority with its office located in Jåhkåmåhkke, comprising a school principal, controllers, HR, and administrators.

The Sámi school is an educational form equivalent to primary school, offering instruction from preschool to grade 6. The foundation of the teaching is based on Sámi culture and the Sámi language according to the curriculum for Sámi schools. The Sámi School Board also operates preschools in agreement with respective municipalities. The Sámi School Board has operations in Giron, Gárasavvon, Váhtjer, Jåhkåmåhkke, and Dearna.

The Sámi School Board organizes distance education in the Sámi languages and supports the development and production of teaching materials for Sámi education.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a preschool assistant, you will actively and responsibly participate in planning, implementation, and reflection in collaboration with the team as well as individually. Documentation and evaluation are included in accordance with the preschool's governing documents and from the Sámi perspective, both individually and in teams. You will actively participate in developing successful learning environments together with others at the preschool, as well as engaging in other work at the preschool and in the children's group.

QUALIFICATIONS

You must be proficient in the Sámi language both orally and in writing and have knowledge of Sámi culture. Applicants must provide an extract from the police criminal record before employment.
