About the job
Position type: Permanent employment, full-time. A probationary period applies.
Start date: 2026-02-01 or by agreement.
Working hours: You will vary between working early mornings, daytime, evenings, and weekends.
Requirements: Secondary education, good knowledge of Swedish (spoken and written). We welcome applicants of all ages, but referring to the Swedish Work Environment Authority's regulations AFS 2023:2 chapter 8 and appendix 2, we do not hire persons under 18 years due to the nature of the work tasks.
As a team leader 2nd, you are prepared to take the step to become a team leader. Here you have great opportunities to grow and develop into a leader at Willys. You will be a very important part of the store's and the store team's development, and in the work to offer our customers good and sustainable food at really good prices!
Here’s a bit more about the position:
- You are a team player with more responsibility than others in your team, but without having the full personnel responsibility of a team leader.
- Together with your team leader, you lead and plan the operations in the fresh produce team daily.
- Of course, you actively participate in the daily operational store work – you can expect to get many steps on your pedometer!
- You learn the knowledge and skills required to eventually take on a role as a team leader. This is a springboard to advance your Willys career with the goal of becoming a future team leader or perhaps eventually a store manager?
- You work purposefully to develop the store's sales, profitability, and other important key figures.
- You are part of the management in the store and have the team leader's job description in your development plan. You practice the skills you have learned in the work and through training.
- You are a role model in the work to welcome all our customers and meet them with knowledge, sensitivity, and a big smile.

About you
You love food, people, and sales just as much as we do! For us, it doesn’t matter if you are a vegan or a meat lover, eating tacos on a Friday or a Tuesday. The great thing about you is that you are you. And that’s exactly what we are looking for.
- You are junior in your leadership and do not need to have experience from a leadership role, but see yourself as a future leader and are driven to lead others. Alternatively, you already have the experience, but not in grocery retail.
- You are good at communicating, enjoy engaging your colleagues, and are good at creating a positive work environment.
- You thrive in result-oriented environments where the pace is high, you have a strong self-drive, good problem-solving skills, and do not shy away from making decisions when required.
- It’s important that you, like us, have high ambitions, are meticulous, and have a high level of structure and planning.
- You enjoy challenges and see opportunities instead of difficulties in a daily life that often presents varying conditions and unforeseen events.
- You like people, put the customer's needs first, and are good at getting people on board – both customers and employees.
