JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The work as a care assistant at Skedvigården means that you help the care recipients with their needs based on the current assistance decision and collaborate in a team with colleagues, nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and unit managers for the benefit of the care recipients.

In addition to the team on each unit, there is a medically responsible nurse, a dementia nurse, and other professionals who provide methodological support and further training for both new and existing staff.

As care staff, you are assigned a contact person role for 1-2 care recipients, which means in-depth knowledge and commitment to the personal care of the care recipient, as well as working to ensure that the individual's personal needs and wishes are met to the best of your ability based on the assistance decision.

As a contact person, you are the primary link between the individual, the care team, and relatives. Being patient and working motivationally is essential to enhance the individual's quality of life and access to daily stimulation. Your tasks include providing support for the individual in their daily life regarding activation, daily outdoor activities, and social interaction.

To ensure safe care and support, you document continuously during your work shift and contribute to quality development by reporting any deviations regarding the individual's assistance decision and situation.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school education as a care assistant

A complete education as a care assistant at the high school level in health and care or equivalent as assessed by the employer.

You have the ability to work with other people; to listen, show empathy, and respect. You are unpretentious and recognize and reward others' contributions.

You have the ability to write clearly, concisely, and well-structured, and can adapt your texts to the intended target audience.

You have the ability to adapt to changing conditions. You encourage and support change initiatives. You easily adjust your behavior in relation to the needs of others.
