Your everyday life as a nurse

As a nurse at SOS Alarm, you primarily work with telephone assessments and triage. You assess patients of all ages who have called 112 due to illness or injury with varying needs for assistance. Over the phone, you assess ambulance needs and provide emergency medical advice and care guidance. Some of the calls involve guiding patients to the correct level of care, which requires you to work safely and efficiently as a nurse. In your work, you collaborate with both internal and external actors, such as ambulance services and home care.

You will receive a comprehensive introduction where you alternate between e-courses and training with a supervisor at the home center, as well as training days at our training unit in Kista.

As an SOS nurse, you have a round-the-clock position with opportunities to influence your own schedule.

To work as a Nurse at SOS Alarm, you have:

  • Swedish nursing license

  • At least three years of work experience in the profession

  • Good computer skills

  • Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written

  • Good knowledge of English, both spoken and written

We see that it is advantageous if you have experience in telephone assessments, relevant specialist nursing education, or additional language skills beyond Swedish and English.

SOS Alarm conducts background checks and security assessments with register checks on its staff according to the requirements of the Security Protection Act (2018:585). The position also involves military placement at SOS Alarm.
