We are now looking for a dedicated nursing assistant/team leader for Västerliden elderly care home in Rimforsa. Västerliden elderly care home consists of 23 apartments and is divided into 2 departments. The Green Hill department with a somatic focus and the Sun Glimmer department with a dementia focus. Here you will meet some of the country's most satisfied users! Rimforsa has good bus connections and parking facilities adjacent to the elderly care home. A nursing home with 54–60 places will be built in Rimforsa and is expected to be completed by 2028. The Västerliden operation will then be phased out and move into the new elderly care home.

Your responsibilities

We are looking for a confident nursing assistant who is ready to take on greater responsibility and wants to influence the care and support we provide to our elderly. This is a combined position; you will work as a nursing assistant while also being a Team Leader together with a colleague for the entire Västerliden, with a particular focus on the dementia department.

As a Team Leader, your main task is to coach and work in daily care operations. This means you are a role model for your colleagues, and through your strong commitment, you create a good working atmosphere in the group every day. You are responsible for ensuring that daily planning is updated and based on the users' needs and wishes. You follow up to ensure that the work group carries out planned interventions and updates planning as needed. You are responsible for reviewing daily documentation and implementation plans together with the unit manager and ensuring that the daily work in the department runs smoothly.

As a nursing assistant, you provide support and care based on the user's individual decisions, needs, and wishes. Your tasks may include supporting personal care and assisting with daily chores such as cleaning, laundry, meals, lifting and transfers, medication management, rehabilitation training, etc. The work also includes contact responsibility, advocacy roles, documentation according to SOL and HSL, as well as managing and being responsible for interventions delegated by licensed personnel.

Qualifications

We prefer that you are a trained nursing assistant. Post-secondary education is an advantage, e.g., specialist training with a focus on dementia or geriatric psychiatry. You have a positive attitude and see it as your obvious responsibility to contribute to a good working atmosphere. You are happy to share your knowledge and experiences while being open to learning from others. As an employee with us, you are engaged, flexible, attentive, responsible, and empathetic. You act calmly and confidently, take initiative, and have good communication skills. You enjoy meeting other people and can both collaborate and work independently. Good computer skills and documentation experience are required.
