Do you want one of Sweden's most important jobs and make a difference for our elderly?

We are now looking for a dedicated nursing assistant for Västerliden elderly care home in Rimforsa. Västerliden elderly care home consists of 23 apartments and is divided into 2 departments. The Green Hill department with somatic focus and the Sun Glimpse department with dementia focus. Here you will meet some of the country's most satisfied users! Rimforsa has good bus connections and parking facilities adjacent to the elderly care home. A nursing home with 54–60 places will be built in Rimforsa and is expected to be completed by 2028. The Västerliden operation will then be phased out and move into the new elderly care home.

Your responsibilities

The care work is an important, fun, and developing job, where you provide support and assistance to the elderly based on their individual needs and create a meaningful everyday life for them. You will place great emphasis on working according to the value base that is based on the individual's wishes, needs, and abilities. Your mission is to be a professional practitioner who works to strengthen the individual's abilities and resources so that they experience their everyday life as understandable, manageable, and meaningful. The meeting with people is in focus, and you contribute to creating good relationships with relatives and other professional groups. The work also includes contact responsibility, advocacy roles, documentation according to SOL and HSL, as well as handling and responsibility for measures delegated by authorized personnel.

Qualifications:

We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant. Post-secondary education is an advantage, such as specialist training in dementia or palliative care. Experience working with dementia and knowledge of low-arousal approaches are also advantageous. Since we are legally required to document our work, it is crucial that you can master the Swedish language in both speech and writing and have good computer skills. Personal suitability is highly valued. It is an advantage if you hold a B driver's license.

You take great responsibility in your professional practice and show judgment and respect. You work systematically and have a great ability to reflect, assess, and handle various situations that can change rapidly based on your own competence. It is important that you can balance different demands and maintain a positive attitude in challenging situations. You thrive in meeting other people and can both collaborate and work independently. Finally, you find it easy to create and maintain good relationships with others and are confident in meetings and difficult conversations.
