Social Worker for Neuropsychiatric Reception

We are looking for an engaged and empathetic social worker who wants to support patients at our Neuropsychiatric Reception. Our target group consists of individuals aged 18 and older with diagnosed neuropsychiatric disabilities requiring psychiatric specialist competence.

The psychiatry area encompasses both outpatient and inpatient care, assisting patients in Jämtland County in need of specialist psychiatric services. The area has approximately 270 employees.

Within the psychiatric clinic in Östersund, all specialist care is provided under one roof, allowing for close collaboration within and between professions and internal mobility with opportunities for personal development for you as an employee.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a social worker in Adult Psychiatry, you will provide the psychosocial perspective and work together with psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.

Your responsibilities include conducting psychosocial assessments and counseling, as well as coordinating efforts with other authorities and healthcare providers. You will also work to inform and support relatives and contribute to developing routines and working methods within the organization.

Documentation and follow-up of interventions are important parts of the job. As a social worker, you will meet people of various ages and backgrounds, which requires great sensitivity, flexibility, and the ability to adapt interventions to individual needs. You should be able to work independently but also be a team player who contributes to a positive work climate.

We value that you have good knowledge of social legislation, psychiatric diagnoses, and the support measures available in society. QUALIFICATIONS

• Degree in Social Work or equivalent education
• Experience in psychiatry or social services is an advantage
• Good knowledge of social legislation
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Empathetic and attentive
• Good communication skills in Swedish, both spoken and written
• Structured and meticulous
• Flexible and solution-focused
• Experience with documentation and journal systems
