The Support and Service Unit is looking for escorts and relief workers for hourly employment within our operations in the Health and Care Administration.

We need staff who are willing to work between 10-30 hours a month, and in some cases more.

As an escort or relief worker, you will be offered support, guidance, and training as needed based on the assignments.

Your new job

• Working as an escort means accompanying the citizen when they engage in activities outside the home.
• Working as a relief worker means providing respite for relatives at home when the need arises.

In your role as an escort or relief worker, you will work with children and young people with various disabilities such as intellectual disabilities or autism, as well as adults with cognitive impairments, mental health issues, or other disabilities.

Since you become an important person in the citizen's life, it is desirable to have the opportunity to retain the assignment for at least 6 months, preferably longer.

Common tasks

• Participate in activities for the citizens.
• Provide pedagogical and social support.

Your qualifications

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Have a good command of Swedish in speaking, writing, and reading comprehension.
• If you are not a Swedish citizen and hold citizenship outside the EU, you must also present your residence and/or work permit.

Meritorious

• Education or experience regarding various disabilities.

We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in working with people, who is service-oriented and positive. We place great importance on approach, independence, cooperation skills, flexibility, and responsibility in contact with the citizen and their relatives.

You do not need any specific education or experience. Your commitment and desire to support a person in their daily life are what matters.

Additional information

Please note that this is not a position you apply for but a part-time job for a number of hours per month. Hourly wages are based on your education and experience.

If you are considered for an assignment where the citizen is under 18 years old, the coordinator will request an extract from the police criminal record.
