About Me

I am a 36-year-old man who, after a car accident six years ago, has a spinal cord injury and uses a wheelchair. Life continues to roll (literally)! I enjoy spending time with friends and family, listening to music, enjoying good food and drinks, following sports, and working from home.

I live in Askim with my partner and our daughter. There is an assistance center where you can take a break, and if you drive, there is parking right outside. Prefer public transport? The bus stop is just four minutes away.

Who Are You?

You have experience in care or personal assistance – or you are a star at learning quickly. Knowledge of spinal cord injuries is a plus but not a requirement. The most important thing is that we click and that you have a secure and stable personality.

For us to communicate smoothly, you need to be comfortable with Swedish in both speech and writing.

Working hours vary and include days, evenings, weekends, and the occasional awake night according to a rolling schedule. The employment starts with hourly employment but can transition to a fixed-term employment (60%) as long as the assistance assignment lasts.

I appreciate flexibility, so if you can step in extra when needed, that's a big plus.

The cooperative has a legacy from the Independent Living movement, which is based on the principle that those with disabilities know best how they want to live their lives. Normally, the person entitled to assistance is the closest manager of the assistants, or a person with special knowledge about the individual is appointed.
