Female Personal Assistant Wanted in Askim, 60%

I am looking for a female personal assistant for 60% who can become an important part of my daily life.

You who are applying are positive, engaged, meticulous, and have a sharp problem-solving ability. Equally important is that you can appreciate calm moments and have a sense of when it's time to take a step back.

About Me

I am a 36-year-old man who, after a car accident six years ago, has a spinal cord injury and uses a wheelchair. Life continues to roll (literally)! I enjoy spending time with friends and family, listening to music, enjoying good food and drinks, following sports, and working from home.

I live in Askim with my partner and our daughter. There is an assistance center where you can take a break, and if you drive, there is parking right outside. Prefer public transport? The bus stop is just four minutes away.

Who Are You?

You have experience in care or personal assistance – or you are a star at learning quickly. Knowledge of spinal cord injuries is a plus but not a requirement. The most important thing is that we click and that you have a secure and stable personality.

For us to communicate smoothly, you need to be comfortable with Swedish in both speech and writing.

Working hours vary and include days, evenings, weekends, and the occasional awake night according to a rolling schedule. The employment starts with hourly employment but can transition to a fixed-term employment (60%) as long as the assistance assignment lasts.

I appreciate flexibility, so if you can step in extra when needed, that's a big plus.

Does this sound like something for you?

Get in touch! I look forward to finding the right person who can become part of my team.

Interviews are ongoing.

About GIL

GIL has coordinated personal assistance since 1989. The cooperative has a legacy from the Independent Living movement, which is based on the principle that those with disabilities know best how they want to live their lives. Normally, the person entitled to assistance is the closest manager of the assistants, or a person with special knowledge about the individual is appointed.

As a personal assistant, you support a person with a disability to live the life they want to live. To attract and retain competent and satisfied assistants, we invest in training and events. We believe that development and meeting others lead to motivated and secure assistants who enjoy and find it fun to work with us.

  • GIL has a collective agreement with Fremia-communal.
  • GIL offers its employees up to 2,500 SEK/year in contributions for wellness and health.
  • GIL applies individual salary setting. Salary according to agreement.
  • At a possible interview, you are expected to present a criminal record extract.

Please submit your application as soon as possible as selection is ongoing! Good luck!
