Do you want to contribute to safety and security in Swedish society? Then you have come to the right place!

As a functional responsible psychologist with us, you will play an important role in maintaining and developing our operations and its quality.

Our working methods are based on scientific principles and proven experience, which means that we make selections of high quality to ensure the right person in the right place with the right responsibility.

At the testing units, psychologists, senior physicians, nurses, and administrators work together with our case handlers. In total, we are about 65 colleagues at the Gothenburg office working together to achieve our common goals, where we take responsibility for both our own work and for each other. With a focus on quality in everything we do, we build a work environment where everyone can grow and contribute.

Your tasks

In the role of functional responsible psychologist, you will support our psychologists in their daily work, where they conduct occupational psychological selections. This is done by interviewing, assessing, and testing individuals subject to total defense obligations during enlistment and people applying for education and employment primarily within the Armed Forces and the Police Authority. Part of this work involves ensuring that the work group applies the authority's psychological methods and working methods correctly.

Your tasks also include, among other things:

  • coordinating and following up the unit's psychological activities based on instructions from the chief psychologist
  • supervising and participating in the introduction of psychologists
  • conducting training initiatives with the psychologist group and holding meetings
  • participating in the psychologist management
  • regularly participating in the office's management group
  • continuously utilizing experiences and suggestions regarding the development of methods and working methods
  • solving tasks that require analysis and evaluations that may affect the client
  • conducting oral presentations before work groups or management

If necessary, it also includes conducting occupational psychological selections to support the psychologists during higher workloads.

Your qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

  • is a psychologist with a license issued by the National Board of Health and Welfare and has completed PTP
  • has worked for at least a couple of years as a licensed psychologist

It is meritorious if you:

  • have experience in selection psychology
  • have experience in planning, implementation, and follow-up of psychological development work
  • have worked as a team leader/coordinator/project leader or had responsibility for a group of psychologists
  • have worked as a psychologist with us at the National Board of Recruitment and Assessment

Your personal qualities

We are looking for someone who can take responsibility for tasks where you can work in a structured manner and drive processes forward. It is also important that you can organize and prioritize work effectively. You enjoy working independently under responsibility.

You have the ability to act calmly and controlled in pressured situations and can focus on the right things. We also see that you can collaborate well, where you have the ability to relate to people in a responsive and smooth manner. Your communication skills are clear, and you can ensure that expectations are clear for the parties involved. You also have the ability to handle, analyze, and solve complex problems.

About the employment

We offer you a permanent full-time position that begins with a probationary period.

At the beginning of your employment, you will participate in our two-week internal training in interview and assessment techniques. To work in the organization as a psychologist with us, a passing result on the training is required.

Due to the nature of the work, you cannot work from home, but we hope that this can instead contribute to a clearer division between work and leisure. You have the opportunity to train during work hours and are offered a favorable wellness allowance. We also offer parental leave supplements and up to 35 vacation days depending on age. Before employment, a security review is conducted according to the provisions of the Security Protection Act. Employment comes with an obligation to be placed in a war position.

We welcome applicants with diverse backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives to reflect the society we operate in. We look forward to receiving your application!

To apply to us, you do not need to write a personal letter. Instead, we have chosen to focus on selection questions and your CV for a value-free recruitment process.
