Our Operations

The Neuro Intensive Care Unit (NIVA) is a highly specialized and high-tech intensive care unit at one of Sweden's largest hospitals. We care for children and adults with, among other things, traumatic injuries, cerebral hemorrhages, and other injuries affecting the nervous system. NIVA has 8 beds and we are about 100 employees.

Nurses and nursing assistants work together in paired care, and you will play an important role in the collaboration where different professions work together for the patient's best. NIVA is a well-functioning organization, and we take advantage of the staff's commitment and knowledge in our continuous quality work.

Your Mission

We are looking for you who want to work as a nursing assistant with us at NIVA. As a nursing assistant at NIVA, you will have an exciting and meaningful job. You will work in a team with nurses and doctors to closely observe changes in the patient's condition. After training, you should be able to independently manage patient-centered and basic care for a seriously ill patient.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant, preferably with at least two years of experience in emergency care.

Your Competence

You always put the patient in focus, are responsible and motivated in your work. You should be interested in advanced care, technical equipment, and teamwork. You also have a flexible and curious attitude as well as good collaboration skills. We want you to be an engaged and positive colleague who contributes to a good working environment. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

We Offer

A permanent full-time position with rotation, day, evening, and night shifts in a schedule model that allows for more recovery time during inconvenient working hours. The introduction is tailored to individual needs. Start date is according to agreement. A probationary period of up to 6 months may apply.

You will receive a mentor who provides guidance, feedback, and helps you in your development. We also have a clinical mentoring nursing assistant who will guide you in your onboarding. We have 2-3 scheduled training days per semester.
