Our Operations

The Neurology Clinic is part of the neuro department, where we provide highly specialized care for patients with diseases and injuries of the nervous system as well as for patients with eye diseases. We work with investigation, diagnostics, and medical and surgical treatment of both acute conditions and chronic diseases. Our work is always based on the patient's needs and characterized by a systematic and structured approach. Here, you will meet a dedicated team with broad expertise and close collaboration across professional boundaries.

At the Neurology Clinic, we meet patients with conditions such as MS, epilepsy, migraines, Parkinson's disease, hydrocephalus, dystonia, and patients with DBS (deep brain stimulation). We offer investigation, treatment, and follow-up – and conduct research in neurology. We work daytime, Monday to Friday, and are a team that values both competence and care.

We are now looking for a full-time research nurse to join our team!

Your Mission

As a research nurse at the Neurology Clinic, you will be an important part of our work to conduct research studies and clinical trials that can contribute to new knowledge in neurology. You will work according to the competence model for research nurses at Uppsala University Hospital and be involved in both academic research studies and clinical trials.

The Neurology Clinic has a long and strong tradition of research, and with us, you will be part of a dedicated team where collaboration and knowledge exchange are at the center. You will help support the initiation of new studies and be responsible for organizing and driving the research process forward – from planning to implementation and follow-up.

Your Tasks Include:

• Direct patient contact, such as outpatient visits, sample collection, and phone follow-ups.
• Reporting to research registers and documentation according to applicable regulations.
• Participation in investigator meetings and planning and initiation of research studies.
• Collaboration with physicians, researchers/investigators, sponsors, monitors, and study participants.

Continuing education in both clinical research and neurology is an obvious and important part of the position.

Your Qualifications

• Licensed nurse with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare.
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. Good knowledge of English is an advantage.
• Good IT skills and interest in working in various digital systems.
• A few years of professional experience and a strong interest in clinical research.
• Experience in neurology and work within clinical research and training in Good Clinical Practice (GCP) is an advantage.
