We offer a permanent full-time position starting by agreement. If you live in Uppsala, you have the opportunity to travel to Tierp during working hours. Our goal is a cohesive habilitation for equal and patient-safe care of good quality. This means that parts of the working hours may be allocated to one of the habilitation's units in Uppsala. A probationary period may be applied.

Your mission

As a psychologist with us, you play an important role in the team-based treatment and assessment work. You meet both children and adults and their networks. The interventions are provided individually and in groups to patients, relatives, and staff. The tasks include, among other things, assessments that investigate whether the patient has intellectual disabilities, autism, and ADHD. You will also carry out interventions aimed at home and networks in response to challenging behaviors, early interventions for autism, and psychoeducational interventions.

In your work, you will work with a diverse and exciting patient group and a wide range of tasks where the focus is on a network-based approach. You will work independently but also in close collaboration with your colleagues.

Your competence

You who are applying are a licensed psychologist. It is meritorious if you have experience in assessments, and knowledge of extensive and lasting disabilities. We also see it as meritorious if you have experience and a good ability to collaborate and convey knowledge about the consequences that the disability has for the individual, family, and other networks. As a psychologist with us, you contribute knowledge and commitment that makes people feel safe.

You always put the patient in focus and are responsible in your work. As a colleague, you are engaged and contribute to a positive work environment. Great emphasis is placed on your ability to work independently and in a structured manner. You have a good ability to collaborate and are motivated to develop the business. You have an easy time expressing yourself in speech and writing. Since we work in the patients' everyday environments, a B driver's license is a requirement. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Our operations

The habilitation in Uppsala County belongs to the administration Close Care and Health in Region Uppsala and has for many years been a leading habilitation. We are a specialized operation that meets children, adolescents, and adult patients with various forms of congenital movement disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, and intellectual disabilities. We work to create conditions for independence and an active life through developing, supportive, and compensatory interventions. Our cross-professional units are located in Enköping, Tierp, Uppsala, and Östhammar. The unit in Tierp serves both children, adolescents, and adults and all disability groups. The unit has Tierp Municipality and Älvkarleby Municipality as its catchment area.

The operation is characterized by development and an evidence-based approach, and you will have a stimulating and varied job. Competence development and experience exchange occur continuously within the habilitation's own operations. Each profession also has regular meetings to ensure equivalent competence within the county's various units. Within the administration, there is a research and development department aimed at stimulating and supporting development work.

The unit in Tierp serves both children, adolescents, and adults and all of habilitation's target groups. We consist of 14 employees with the professions of social worker/counselor, physiotherapist, psychologist, speech therapist, occupational therapist, special educator, administrator, and group manager.
