BHV Nurse for Child Health Centers in Eastern Värmland

Do you want to make a difference for the youngest – and contribute to stronger preventive work? With us, you get the chance to build long-term relationships with families and truly be a support where it is needed the most.

We offer you a meaningful and inspiring job with continuous professional development through professional meetings and training. Additionally, the opportunity to work in a planned reception operation, which provides good opportunities to influence both schedule and allocation of tasks.

Your Workplace

The area of Child, Youth, and Family Health operates throughout Värmland and consists of family centers, midwife clinics, child health centers, youth clinics, first line youth services, speech therapy units, child and family support, and treatment and counseling centers. Together, we provide health care to children, youth, and their families in Värmland, focusing on preventive health care.

In our units, we have a good collaborative climate and engaged employees. Our values are based on the Convention on the Rights of the Child and the equal worth of all people. Our values are our starting point in meetings with patients and in meetings with each other. With this in mind, we work to promote health and prevent ill health.

We are now looking for two BHV nurses for our child health centers in eastern Värmland – Kristinehamn – Filipstad – Storfors. Storfors is staffed 1-2 days a week. All child health centers are part of family centers, located in the same building. Here you will work alongside BHV nurses, midwives, educators, social workers, and doctors. Currently, many important development and research projects focusing on the public health of our youngest residents are underway at the relevant service points, one of which is TRYGG – the new parenting support training.

Your Responsibilities

With the child in focus, as a BHV nurse, you provide support and information on topics such as breastfeeding, nutrition, sleep, language development, vision, hearing, self-care, and child safety. Together with the parent, you will follow the child's development up to school age. As a BHV nurse, you offer support in parenting (TRYGG), health monitoring, and vaccinations according to the national vaccination program for children aged 0–6 years.

The work also involves collaboration with other professionals primarily within the Family Center and the area of operations.

Your Qualifications/Competencies

You are a licensed district nurse or pediatric nurse with prescribing rights. A valid driver's license (B) is required as home visits are part of the assignment. We are looking for someone who is positive, flexible, and engaged. We want you to contribute with joy at work and take responsibility for both patients and colleagues, as well as the development of the operations. The work is independent, but close collaboration within the team and with other actors requires very good cooperation skills. Previous experience in child health care is desirable but not a requirement. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

Welcome with your application! Interviews will be conducted continuously during the application period.
