As an experienced mechanical designer at our client, you will work at the core of the development of industrial AC/DC power units, rectifiers, and high-voltage systems. The products you will design contain power electronics and are used in applications such as metal processing, electrolysis, flue gas cleaning, and green hydrogen production. The role is largely practical, involving lab work within a cross-functional team, but there are also opportunities to further develop work methods, structures, and design methodologies.

Examples of tasks in the role:

• Design robust mechanical solutions for power electronics in SolidWorks.
• Ensure IP classification, EMC adaptation, vibration resistance, and mechanical protection of electronics.
• Work with air cooling, water cooling, and if necessary, active cooling, as well as design heat paths, flows, and cooling channels.
• Drive cost reductions, quality improvements, and robustness measures.
• Participate in customer projects, from requirements specification to suppliers and offer drawings to final documentation.
• Further develop work methods, structures, and design methodologies.
• Be responsible for documentation, drawings, product structures, and change management in PLM.

• Has a relevant university degree in mechanical engineering, electronics, mechatronics, or a related field.
• Has at least 10 years of experience in mechanical design in metal within power or electronic solutions.
• Has a good understanding of water and air cooling as well as corrosion protection.
• Has good knowledge of CAD programs.
• Communicates fluently in English, both spoken and written, as both languages are used in daily work.

It is an advantage if you:

• Have experience in simulating heat flows/thermal analyses, preferably in SolidWorks.
• Are fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written.
