Responsibilities

The position involves a coordinating responsibility for diaconal work in our area of the pastorate. Currently, the work is primarily directed towards adults and the elderly, where the work takes place in group settings and through home visits. We want to find new ways to meet the diaconal needs that exist in our time and proximity. There are good opportunities for you to develop and find new forms for diaconal work with great freedom and personal responsibility, where volunteer engagement is valued. The outreach work is one of several areas that the parish is eager to see develop.

We see that you, together with leisure leaders, work with "green diakonia" in the rectory garden, for mental and physical health and well-being. The position also includes traditional tasks as a deacon with outreach work, pastoral conversations, home visits, and leading ongoing groups. You organize activities for groups where you consider both opportunities and needs. As a deacon with us, you regularly participate in worship services and also lead devotions.

Qualifications

You need to be an ordained deacon within the Church of Sweden. You have several years of experience working as a deacon and want to live parish life together with us. We work with both material and spiritual needs. You are committed to making the church accessible and present in people's daily lives. In your profession, you are trustworthy, attentive, and present.

As a coordinating deacon, you need to have an eye for the world around you and, together with the area manager, be able to set the direction for the diaconal work. You should enjoy being proactive in the work, working independently, and taking your own initiatives. At the same time, you are a good colleague and team player, as the position requires good collaboration within the team, and you can see opportunities for collaboration even across parish boundaries. Together with the team of priests, musicians, caretakers, and educators, you work for a stimulating and vibrant worship life. Musicality and creative expression are advantageous.

Conditions

You are well-rooted in the Church of Sweden, where you are of course a member and share our faith. The position requires a valid driver's license (B) and access to your own car.

The pastorate is rainbow-certified. There is also ongoing development work for a sustainable environment within all activities.
