Who will you be working with?

You will work with a cheerful, social, and active young man who lives in his own apartment. He loves movement and activities and enjoys having his days planned. Together with his assistants, he goes on outings, both on foot and by car, trains, cycles, bakes, uses an iPad, does woodworking, and listens to music, which is a central part of his life.

You provide support for him in his home, at his workplace within daily activities, and during activities. He understands spoken language but does not speak himself; instead, he clearly shows with his body language what he wants and practices alternative communication. You work to support him in his self-determination and strengthen his self-esteem by being pedagogical. The assistants are a significant part of his daily life, and therefore you work closely and together as a team.

Your profile

We are now looking for an assistant who also has an extended responsibility as a team leader in the group. As a team leader, you will be responsible for updating schedules, booking and leading assistant meetings, participating in the recruitment of new staff, creating routines, and keeping the group around the user cohesive. You will also be responsible for calling in substitutes for any absences that arise. When you work with us, you will become part of a wonderful and dedicated assistant group consisting of individuals of varying ages.

We are looking for someone who is unpretentious, empathetic, and attentive, preferably with experience in low-arousal approaches. You are proactive and have an easy time collaborating. You exude security and are grounded in the belief of the unique and equal value of all individuals. You are flexible regarding working hours and the content of the work. You enjoy being active and physically engaged. You can work at all hours of the day. Most importantly, you have a commitment and understand the significance of living as active and rich a life as possible. Personal suitability is of utmost importance. We are looking for someone with experience in wellness, recreational leadership, teaching assistance, or other motivation-enhancing work.

Scope of the position

We currently have a position of approximately 75% (30 hours/week) to fill, and the working hours are varied; you will work days, evenings, nights with on-call duties, and weekends. The work is located in Falkenberg. There is double assistance during the day, and overnight shifts occur.

At Ågrenska, we apply individual salary setting. A collective agreement exists between Vårdföretagarna and Kommunal. As an employee at Ågrenska, you have access to wellness benefits and receive continuous training in your role as an assistant.

(Like many, we are awaiting more information about the 11-hour rest period, so changes to the schedule may occur. However, we at Ågrenska personal assistance see that overnight shifts are advantageous in this assistance and therefore hope to influence that it remains so in the future)
