About us

Solrosbacken HVB is a small family-oriented operation located in Åled, a bit outside Halmstad. Solrosbacken specializes in receiving girls aged 13-17 who have been in unsuitable environments, such as having committed minor offenses, experimented with drugs, or exhibited threatening behavior, at short notice, around the clock. We are here to help when a young person needs to be removed from the context they are in. This can be situations where the youth's development and health are at risk or where social services want to place the youth directly to have time to investigate potential interventions. At Solrosbacken, our primary focus is for the youth to feel safe and have a well-functioning and meaningful everyday life.

The purpose of the stay at Solrosbacken is to provide the young person with support in creating good relationships with their surroundings and to support all change processes related to their treatment. This also means creating conditions for continued schooling, strengthening the child's skills, and creating a functioning everyday life. The structure of the operation should promote a normalized daily rhythm, good eating habits, and social functions.

At Solrosbacken, we work to ensure that the children feel safe and involved in their treatment by actively participating in their planning, so that after the treatment period they can take the next step in life. The operation works with high participation in everyday life where the children's opinions, wishes, and interests are received and accommodated as far as possible.

We see the youth's family and possibly other networks as an important resource in the treatment. Therefore, we work to involve family/caregivers in the change process, often with weekly conversations. The goal is for them to receive support and understanding to be able to meet, manage, and support the youth's development.

About the role

Your main tasks include:

  • Care in the form of direct treatment work
  • Participation in systematic quality and improvement work
  • Involvement in investigative work
  • Network contacts
  • Documentation and development work

We work with evidence-based methods and provide motivational support based on a low-arousal approach, applying a holistic perspective where we see each individual both as a person and as part of their context and origin.

The position is a temporary contract with a workload of 100%, until 2025-08-30, with the possibility of extension. Work takes place during daytime, evenings, night shifts, and weekends. Salary is according to agreement and other compensations are according to collective agreements. Start date is according to agreement, as soon as possible.

Who are you?

As a person, you are responsible, relationship-building, flexible, and secure. In the role, it is important that you show great empathy while also having the ability to set boundaries when necessary. The work involves close and trusting collaboration with your colleagues, so you must have good communication and collaboration skills. We place great importance on personal suitability. A criminal record check will be required before employment.

To apply for the position, you must:

  • Be a qualified social worker, social educator, treatment educator, or have another completed post-secondary education that the employer assesses as equivalent
  • Have experience in treatment work
  • Have good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing
  • Have good system skills as documentation occurs to a high extent
  • Have a B driver's license
