We are looking for summer substitutes for all our operations within care and support at the social administration.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

A free job with varied working hours, but above all a job where you get to mean something for others. Does that sound like something for you? Then you can apply for the summer job right now!

Your task with us will be to meet and support children, young people, or adults with disabilities, or elderly individuals who need help in their daily lives. You will receive an introduction and training, quickly becoming part of our community, and at first, you will shadow an experienced colleague.

Your work will be to be there for someone who needs you, to facilitate and enable things in everyday life that many of us take for granted.

This can include helping someone get outdoors, come to the dining table, or visit their best friend. It can involve suggesting, organizing, and accompanying activities such as movies, swimming, concerts, or sports events. We often laugh together and comfort each other when needed.

It can also involve cooking, cleaning, or shopping together. You will also assist with personal care such as dressing, hygiene, and toilet visits.

You will mostly work in a team, but when you feel secure, there will be times when you work alone. If you work as a personal assistant, this will apply most of the time.

QUALIFICATIONS

You need to be at least 18 years old to be employed with us. Exceptions can be made for students studying in the care and support program.

We are looking for someone with a good attitude, flexibility, initiative, teamwork skills, and a sense of responsibility. Due to the nature of the tasks, good knowledge of the Swedish language is required so that you can communicate verbally and in writing with those you help, as well as with relatives and colleagues. You can work with both male and female clients and colleagues.

A driver's license and access to a car are advantageous. In some of our operations, this is a requirement.

To be considered for this position, you must be able to work at least one of the three holiday periods. If necessary, we will prioritize applicants who can work more/all holiday periods. There is also the possibility to apply for a permanent weekend position. You will then have the opportunity to work 30 hours per week and still receive a full-time salary. Working hours are mainly scheduled during the day and evening from Friday to Monday.

Great emphasis is placed on your personal qualities, that you enjoy working with people, are attentive, empathetic, and responsible. Experience working in our operations is an advantage.

Please attach grades, diploma, and any certificate for the nursing assistant title in your application.

OTHER

The municipality's policy is to offer all employees the desired employment level. This means that even for positions advertised as part-time, there is an opportunity to request a higher employment level. The extensions offered may involve combinations of tasks and workplaces.

The plan is for recruitment to take place as quickly as possible. We are continuously recruiting based on the needs of our various operations, which means that we may prioritize certain operations over others.

What happens if you proceed in the recruitment process?

  1. You will receive an email with an invitation from Recright to pre-recorded video interview questions where you will answer a number of questions regarding the current position. You will have seven days to respond to these questions, but it is desirable that you respond as soon as possible.
  2. If you proceed, you will need to provide two current references via our digital reference collection system Refapp. We always ask for two references in the form of your most recent manager or supervisor/mentor. Inform your references so they are prepared for us to contact them and have their current contact information (mobile number and email address) ready.
  3. Finally, you will be invited to a shorter interview/conversation. This will take place digitally via Microsoft Teams, so you will need to have the app installed on your computer/phone.
  4. If you are offered employment with us, you will need to present a criminal record extract. You will need to provide extracts for both work in preschool/primary school and for children with disabilities.
  5. If you are a citizen of a country outside the EU/EES or Switzerland, you need to bring your work permit and show your passport, national ID card, or personal certificate while also showing your criminal record extract.
