JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We don’t post a job like this every year! We are strengthening our secretariat organization in 2026 as we will conduct a general election.

Based at our central office, we are looking for a secretary with a fixed-term contract for 2026. You will work extensively with the general election taking place in 2026. The job responsibilities will also include all tasks at the secretariat, such as registration and record-keeping, meetings and their documentation, as well as weddings, among other things.

The secretariat is located in the administration and security department of the municipal executive office. There, you will be a colleague with those who work with overall governance and coordination in Ljungby municipality across a variety of areas, such as archives, security, quality, and law.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who wants to work with the core of democracy and the heart of municipal governance. You should enjoy collaborating with others, as cooperation is what we will offer. Both the execution of elections and other tasks at the secretariat involve many contacts with elected representatives, colleagues, and volunteer ballot counters, as well as the public.

You have relevant academic education or other experience that we consider equivalent. It is an advantage if you have previously worked with municipal secretariat issues and elections.

The skills we are looking for include the ability to quickly understand and learn about an area. What you acquire should be able to be communicated to others both verbally and in writing.

We will place great emphasis on personal suitability for the role.

A driving license (B) is required.
