A managerial role for a unit tasked with providing the groundwork for the Executive Board's monetary policy decisions and explaining and justifying monetary policy in Sweden.

Your Role with Us

You will be responsible for developing, driving, and coordinating the work within the unit and department. The unit primarily works with monetary policy communication and analysis. This responsibility includes monitoring economic-political debates, investigating economic issues relevant to monetary policy, serving as editor for the monetary policy report, being responsible for the report 'Account of Monetary Policy', and preparing materials for the Executive Board's meetings and speeches. You will have personnel responsibility, represent the department in collaboration with other parts of the Riksbank, and play an active role in the department's management team.

Your Team

The Riksbank consists of eight departments. The Economic Policy Analysis Unit belongs to the Monetary Policy Department as one of four units. Here you can read more about the Riksbank's organization. The group consists of approximately 20 qualified employees, most of whom have degrees in economics. The unit works closely with the other units in the department and with other departments at the Riksbank. The department has prioritized teams that several of your colleagues will work in.

More About You

You are someone who thrives in change and eagerly explores opportunities to help your colleagues grow and develop. You create and maintain a work environment where curiosity, creativity, and analytical thinking are driving forces in daily work. You build and promote strong collaboration both within your team and between other departments. You have previous experience leading others as a manager or project leader in larger projects. If you have been part of a management team and therefore had responsibility for a larger part of the operation than just your own area/project, that is an advantage. You hold a master's degree in economics, financial economics, or equivalent. A doctoral degree is an advantage. You are well-versed in relevant macroeconomic analysis, have broad knowledge in central bank-related areas, and a strong interest in current economic-political issues. Experience in international work is an advantage. You write and speak Swedish and English fluently.

Location: Head office in central Stockholm
Working Hours: Flexible working hours
Remote Work Possibility: Up to 2 days a week when the business allows

The position may be classified in a security class, and a security review including background checks, security interviews, and special personal investigations will be conducted for the final candidate. For certain positions, Swedish citizenship is required.
