About the job
You will work with system development in an agile development team where you collectively take responsibility for the team's deliveries while considering the whole and contributing to a well-functioning society. In your role, you will help develop solutions for those who start and run businesses and for handling VAT and employer contributions. You have the freedom to organize your work within the team and work together towards a common goal. The team is cross-functional and there is an opportunity to deepen your knowledge in various areas. We have a long-term mission and focus on sustainable, future-proof solutions with minimized technical debt. Societal benefit is always in focus.
We are currently undergoing a system renewal where we are introducing modern technology and developing our architecture. The development environment includes Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Java, Spring Boot, React, and JavaScript.

You will belong to the IT department, located in Umeå. We are 20 employees in the section working on corporate taxation, and around 200 people working with IT in Umeå.
About you
To do a good job and thrive with us at the Swedish Tax Agency, you need to be attentive, think innovatively, and take responsibility. In this job, you should:
- have good collaboration skills, be helpful, and have a good attitude
- have the ability and willingness to learn new things, be flexible, and open to change
- have good problem-solving skills, see patterns, and be able to make distinctions
- be goal-oriented and contribute to achieving the purpose of the operations
- act consciously and professionally based on good self-awareness
- express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish.
You should also have:
- relevant higher education of at least 180 higher education credits (120 credits) in IT, or alternatively several years of current and relevant experience working as a system developer
- several years of current and relevant work experience in programming in Java
- current and relevant experience working with databases
It is desirable that you have experience with GIT, Spring Boot, and OCP. It is also desirable that you have relevant experience in integration and automation testing.
Good to know
The employment is permanent and may begin with a six-month probationary period.
