We are looking for an engaged health educator for the meeting point for the elderly at Solgården in Åkersberga. Do you want to help create meaningful meetings and activities for the elderly? We are now looking for someone who wants to develop our meeting point for the elderly in central Åkersberga – creating a place for community, movement, and joy. The meeting point is open to all elderly and offers a wide range of activities such as games, group training, balance training, chair gymnastics, volunteer work, and social interaction. The goal is to promote health, well-being, and social community.

Your new job

You will work at the Solgården meeting point but will also have an outreach mission throughout Åkersberga and surrounding areas. This means reaching out to elderly individuals who, for various reasons, cannot make it to the meeting point and creating opportunities for them to participate in activities in other ways. The position includes planning and developing the operations together with the unit manager. You will work both independently and in collaboration with other actors, associations, and volunteers.

Your profile

As a person, you are secure in yourself and work purposefully and passionately with the elderly in focus. You are unpretentious and have the ability to inspire others.

• Are educated as a health educator or have another health-promoting university education
• Have experience working with the elderly
• Have a good ability to build relationships and meet people with respect and warmth
• Have the ability to create engagement and participation
• Have a driver's license and the ability to get around the island if needed
• Preferably have experience using digital technology in work with the elderly
• Are self-driven, initiative-taking, and have a strong commitment to promoting the health and quality of life of the elderly
