As a Transport Manager, your overall purpose is to ensure

the need for freight transport, focusing on both service level and

cost-effectiveness. You will be a key person with many internal and

external contact points, including purchasing, logistics, and a global sales organization.

You will be employed by Randstad and work on assignment with one of our clients starting as agreed during the fall.

Responsibilities

  • Drive procurement and contracting of suppliers for freight transport in accordance with the applicable purchasing policy.
  • Manage supplier performance to ensure compliance with agreements regarding cost and service level.
  • Analyze cost development, optimize freight flows, and drive improvement activities to achieve set goals.
  • Be the primary contact point for freight-related issues, both internally and externally.
  • Ensure that agreements are correctly registered in the systems for freight calculation and invoice matching.
  • Conduct market monitoring within transport logistics.

Qualifications

  • University degree or equivalent knowledge acquired through work experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the logistics and transportation market.
  • Broad competence in the transport field as well as good skills in purchasing and negotiating services.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
  • Experience in driving projects and activities.
  • Good knowledge of IT systems.

It is an advantage if you have experience in purchasing transport services and contract negotiation.

We are looking for someone who has the ability to translate strategic goals into concrete actions in their part of the business. You are structured, flexible, and have a pronounced analytical ability that you use to drive improvement work.
